What we collect
When you check an estimate, we store the details you enter (vehicle, repair description, quoted price, ZIP code) along with the verdict our analysis produced. We do not require an account and do not collect your name or contact information to use the checker.
Shop matching (optional)
If you choose to be matched with a local repair shop and check the consent box, we collect your name, contact details, and ZIP code, and we share those — along with the repair details from your check — with repair shops in your area so they can contact you with quotes. We only do this when you explicitly opt in. We do not sell your contact information for any other purpose.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. If you use the purchase-restore feature, we verify your email and card's last four digits against Stripe's records solely to confirm your purchase.
Analytics & security
We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, cookie-free traffic measurement. To prevent abuse, we store a one-way hashed identifier derived from your IP address; the raw address is not retained with your check.
Your choices
To have your lead information or check history removed, contact us and we will delete it. For details on how AI verdicts should and shouldn't be relied on, see our Terms of Service.
